VIPA can assist you with industrial and safety related issues.

We have a proven track record of successful representation and assistance for a diverse range of member matters.

 

As a VIPA member, if you require clarification, assistance or advice, we can help you. VIPA members can benefit from the knowledge and expertise of our experienced Industrial Officers, as well as our Management team who fly the line alongside you.  Well versed with operational procedures, work rules and employment details, we are able to act on your behalf to resolve issues and settle disputes efficiently and effectively.

Good industrial representation can mean the difference between a matter being resolved swiftly with minor repercussions, versus losing your livelihood. VIPA’s experienced Industrial Officers have a strong industrial law background, and sound backing from one of the country’s leading industrial law firms.

No-one wants to be involved in an incident, but if you are, it is reassuring to know that you have a robust safety net. If you are involved in an incident or accident, VIPA offers 24 hr assistance. The recommended actions are:


• Co-operate with local authorities

• Comply with Company operational requirements

• Contact VIPA as soon as possible on 1800 116 460, option 1 (+612 8203 3811)

• DO NOT make any verbal or written statements

• Insist on your right to be accompanied

Industrial-Representation

 

If you receive a letter of allegation from the Company, immediately notify your VIPA Industrial Officer for guidance on 1800 116 460, option 2. Our Industrial Officers are able to efficiently deal with the issue and provide advice and representation if required. Working with you, we will see the matter through to a resolution, providing guidance throughout the process.
